If you're unsure whether we can reach you, just give us a call and we'll let you know. For complex repairs and restorations, we also have a fully equipped workshop in Ledbury.

Is there a call-out fee?

There's no separate call-out charge — just one simple hourly rate. We work on a 1-hour minimum booking at £100 inc VAT. That first hour covers travelling to you, setting up, diagnosing the fault, and giving you an honest estimate. It's what allows us to guarantee the work for 12 months / 12,000 miles. You're not paying for travel — you're paying for the work.

How much does a mobile mechanic cost?

Our rate is £100 inc VAT per hour, with a 1-hour minimum per visit. There's no separate call-out charge — the hourly rate is all you pay. Most local garages charge £110+ VAT per hour, so you get dealership-quality work at a competitive rate, at your door.

Do you offer payment plans for car repairs?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Through Payment Assist, we offer interest-free payment plans over 3–6 months. You pay a 25% deposit upfront and the rest is split into equal monthly payments. No credit check required for plans up to £1,000. It's a great option for larger jobs like timing belt replacements or engine work.

We work on all makes and models — from everyday cars like Ford, Vauxhall, and VW to high-performance vehicles including Porsche, Ferrari, and Bentley. With nearly 20 years of experience, including 3+ years at the renowned Bob Houghton Ltd — where the daily work involved some of the most significant cars ever built: Ferrari 250 GTOs, Enzos, F50s, F40s, Testarossas, 355s, 512 LMs, 599 GTBs and GTOs, Dino 206 Ss, Aston Martin DB5s, Jaguar E-Types, Overfinch Range Rovers, Peugeot 205 GTIs, Renault 5 Turbos, and historic race cars that have competed at the Mille Miglia and Le Mans — as well as caring for the collections of celebrity clients and well-known collectors. How quickly can you come out for a repair?

Every job comes with a comprehensive 12-month / 12,000-mile warranty covering both parts and labour — whichever comes first. This applies to all parts and labour supplied by Elite Motorworks. We use OEM-quality parts sourced locally, and we stand behind every repair we carry out — whether it's a simple service or a full engine rebuild.

Can I supply my own parts?

We'd always recommend letting us source the parts for your vehicle. There's a good reason for this: our 12-month / 12,000-mile warranty covers both parts and labour when we supply everything. If you provide your own parts, we're unable to warranty those components — meaning if a customer-supplied part fails, the cost of diagnosing and replacing it again would fall to you. We source high-quality OEM-quality parts locally, often at trade prices, so there's rarely a cost advantage in supplying your own. It's about protecting you and making sure the job is done right, first time.

What diagnostic equipment do you use?

We carry a range of professional-grade diagnostic tools including the Autel MaxiSys & Launch X431 Pro3S, various electrical test equipment including oscilloscope, amp clamps and multimeters as well as thermal imaging cameras and bore scopes. What sets us apart is our partnership with a specialist remote diagnostics provider, giving us access to genuine dealer-level diagnostic tools — remotely accessed directly through our Autel MaxiSys. This means we can carry out ECU reprogramming and key replacements that most mobile mechanics simply can't offer, all at your door.
